Richard E. Boone, 59, of Sullivan, passed away at 5:00PM Monday May 17, 2010.
He was born in Sullivan, Indiana June 19, 1950 the son of Paul L. Boone and Dorothy J. Rooksberry.
He was Army Veteran, a retired truck driver, logger, and farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Wanda Alsman.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Dilley Boone of 35 years, married February 26, 1975, three daughters, Krystal Boone of Sullivan, Kandace Hiatt (Mark) of Carlisle, Victoria Little (Jay) of Lenzburg, Ill., one son, Joshua Boone (Brittany) of Sullivan, two brothers Paul D. Boone and David Boone both of Sullivan, three sisters, Wilma Hiatt of Sullivan, Carolyn Anderson of Terre Haute, Mary Nash of Sullivan, ten grandchildren, Kendra and Connor Houser, Kaydon Turley, Dawson and Summer Hiatt, Boone and Jacob Mize, Rylan, Myles, and Tevan Boone.
Funeral services will be Saturday May 22, 2010 at 2:00PM at Banks and Brust Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Military services will be held by the Sullivan, Shelburn, and Hymera Legions and the VFW Post. Friends may call from 11:00AM until service time Saturday. Cremation is requested.
