Betty M. Shake, 88, of New Lebanon, passed away at 10:32 PM Thursday May 13, 2010 at Breckenridge Health and Rehab Center.
She was born in Sullivan Co., Indiana May 18, 1921 the daughter, of Ernest Stanley and Ethel Irvin Stanley.
She was a former seamstress at Gossards in Sullivan and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sullivan.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Bud) Shake in 2000, also three brothers, Rodman, Junior, and Richard Stanley, and one sister, Frances Degan.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Shorter (Ty) of New Lebanon, one sister, Marge Rumple of Sullivan, two granddaughters, Stephanie McClain (Bryan), and Tyra Trueblood (John), two great grandchildren Justen, and Jayden Trueblood.
Graveside services will be at 11:00AM Monday May 17, 2010 at Mt Zion Cemetery with Rev. Mitch Hoesman officiating. Friends may call from 2:00PM until 6:00PM Sunday at Banks and Brust Funeral Home. Interment in the Mt Zion Cemetery in New Lebanon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
