Nora Frances (Bedwell) Barden, 87, of Carlisle, passed away at 9:30AM Monday March 1, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Sullivan Co., Indiana February 9, 1923, the daughter of James Isaac Adams and Nora Jane Smith Adams.
She was retired from Public Service Indiana Electric Living Consultant, served on the Sullivan Co. Fair Board, a member of the Chat and Stitch Club, Garden Club, REMC, and the Shiloh Church of Christ in Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, also her husband Walter Henry Barden, one sister, Alta Utterback, and a niece Charlotte Utterback.
Survivors include her daughter, Sallie Davis of Carlisle, a step son, Stephen Bedwell of Melbourne, Fl., a step daughter, Madonna Bedwell Nail of Carlisle, two grandchildren Sara Davis Whitcomb (Jon) of Noblesville, Michael Davis (Anne) of Sullivan, six great grandchildren, Rowan, Asher, Guerin, Victoria, George, and Henry, a niece, Carla Hovey, nephew, Jim Utterback, great niece Terri Bogard, and a caregiver and friend, Meg de Mougin.
Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Friday March 5, 2010 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan with Chaplain Ken Coffman officiating. Friends may call from 12:00PM until service time Friday. Interment in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
