| Louie Andre, 93, of Sullivan, passed away at 4:13PM Saturday February 27, 2010 at Millers’ Merry Manor.
Born in Hymera, Indiana November 9, 1916, the son of Marius Andre and Mathilda Guilett Andre, he married Maxine Jewell July 2, 1938 and she survives.
Louie was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of the Sullivan American Legion Post #139, the Sullivan Elks #911, and retired from Strans Steel in Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also three brothers, Kleber Andre, Marcel Andre, and Morris Andre.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Maxine Jewell Andre, one son, Roger Andre (Nancy) of Sullivan, two daughters, Barbara Mitchell (Gary) of Sullivan, Brenda McCammon (Robert) of Sullivan, seven grandchildren, Lori, David, Keith, Buddy, Kelly, Bill, Benji, and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Wednesday March 3, 2010 at Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Eddie Hammond officiating. Friends may call from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday. Interment in the Dugger Cemetery with Military Graveside rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn, Hymera Legion Posts and the Sullivan Co. VFW Post.
