Allen A. Brodie, 77, of Sullivan, passed away at 9:57PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born in Sullivan Co., Indiana May 5, 1932, the son of Carl Brodie and Dorothy Able Brodie. He married Patricia Morris May 20, 1953.
Allen was an Army Veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church in Sullivan, the Sullivan Elks Lodge #911, and retired from the Sullivan State Bank after 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also one sister, Mary Kay McKinley.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Morris Brodie, two daughters, Lynda Heflin (Jim) of Greensburg, Karla Grow (Craig) of Sullivan, four grandchildren, Tricia Gehl (Carl), K.C. Grow, Korey Grow (Cheryl) and Katrina Heflin, one great granddaughter, Audra Gehl.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Sullivan with Pastor Timothy Fleace officiating. Interment in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Friday at the First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sullivan First Baptist Preschool. Services have been entrusted to Banks and Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan.
